Hal Valeche is a seasoned financial and management professional. During his career, he has worked with a wide variety of companies, both large and small, in helping them achieve their financial and strategic goals.

Mr. Valeche received a BA in American Studies from Yale University. On graduation, he entered the Navy Flight Training Program. After training, he was assigned to fly fighters at Miramar Naval Air Station, San Diego California. During his service, he flew 85 combat missions in Vietnam, made over 230 carrier landings and received six awards of the Air Medal.

On leaving the Navy, he attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received an MBA in Finance and was named to the Director’s List for academic achievement in both years.

Following graduation, Mr. Valeche began a 10-year career in investment banking, working for Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney, During his investment banking career, Hal advised many corporations both large and small, in, among other things, the issuance of equity, debt and preferred securities. He also provided guidance on the strategic level, advising on mergers, acquisitions, buyouts and strategic recapitalizations. Clients included United Airlines, Flight International, Aetna Insurance, Palm Beach International and many others.

Mr. Valeche moved to Florida 30 years ago and founded and ran a successful financial services company. He has served on the Boards of Enterprise Florida, Space Florida, the Florida Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research and BioFlorida. During his time in Florida, he has also become very active in the local venture capital community, as both an investor and advisor. He currently serves as a mentor to a number of start-up companies through the Tech Runway program at Florida Atlantic University.

Apart from his business career, Mr. Valeche was elected to two terms as a member of the Palm Beach Gardens City Council and two terms on the Palm Beach County Commission, from 2012-2020, when he was term-limited. He has been a member of the Board of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority since 2018 and served as Chairman of the County’s Transportation Planning Agency.
